The goal is to be heard on the legislative changes not taken, the VA’s ignoring of over 200 comments in the Federal Register by fellow VSO’s, and the non-curing of prior challenges in the Caregiver Program from 2011 to present. This group of WWII intrepid special ops platoon were deployed quietly, but effectively to Iceland, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, and Korea. Joseph put together a puzzle of memories gained from survivors and the documents found in his father’s footlocker after his death.     Linda Kreter and Military Network Radio presents Army veteran Gerry Wright and the significance of Agent Orange support needed today. When Admiral Zumwalt authorized the use of Agent Orange, the full extent of the dangers of exposure to this defoliant was unknown. Agent Orange was sprayed to rid the undergrowth of the jungle where the war was being fought – but it was also sprayer on food supply chains, drinking water, it flowed in the rivers, and Navy and brown water sailors used the contaminated water for ballast – and drinking water after filtration that concentrated the dioxin levels. Sprayed from aircraft, it was often mixed with jet fuel to better adhere to the leaves – in three days, the foliage was gone, but the dangerous effects continue. The more serious progression to heat exhaustion and heatstroke follow exposure to hot environments, indoors or outdoors. Be aware, learn the warning signs, and communicate with others to avoid and prevent heatstroke. With so many people largely indoors for months this year, it’s more important than ever to be aware of symptoms and to take precautions. His new book, “Tell Your Children: The Truth About Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence” takes no political stance. Cannabis use is a personal choice, and he shares strictly the science, research, outcomes, and patterns of cannabis use. We have come to believe that cannabis is a helpful herbal substance, and yet – anything we inhale or ingest in our bodies as potential side effects. In the growing (teen/young adult brain), there can be more serious effects than those in adults. Just as alcohol is not safe for all, learn about side effects from edibles (manage amounts!), possible interactions and symptoms, plus safety and knowledge of how cannabis has evolved since the 70’s.
